Reverse description Central field presents a full-length facing figure of Saint John the Baptist, robed in flowing drapery and nimbed, standing in a frontal hieratic pose characteristic of Rhenish Goldgulden types. The saint raises his right hand in blessing while his left arm supports a shield bearing a cross, likely a devotional or heraldic emblem. A beaded inner circle frames the saintly figure, beyond which the circumferential Latin legend + S IOHANNES BAPTISTA identifies the patron saint. The composition closely follows the Florentine Goldgulden tradition adapted by German margraviates. The beaded outer border frames the entire design on an irregularly shaped hammered flan.
