| Reverse description | A displayed double-headed imperial eagle with wings spread, each head surmounted by a separate crown, with a single larger crown above both heads at center. On the eagle's breast is a crowned escutcheon bearing the quartered arms of Bavaria. The eagle's talons clutch the orb and scepter, symbols of imperial authority, referencing Charles Albert's role as Vicar of the Empire. The encircling Latin legend names his office, with the date 1740 incorporated into the lower portion of the legend. A milled border surrounds the design. |
