Obverse description Facing imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the center of the field, with wings spread and a shield bearing the Nuremberg arms (a divided field with a diagonal bar) on its breast. The eagle is rendered in the late Gothic style characteristic of early 16th-century Nuremberg coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the date partially visible in the surrounding legend area. The outer circular legend reads MONET: AVR: REI: PV: NURENB., separated by stops, all within a beaded border.
