| Obverse description | Standing royal effigy facing front in the field, depicted holding a bow in the left hand with the right arm slightly raised, rendered in a stylized South Asian artistic tradition. The figure wears a tall headdress and appears lightly draped, with broad shoulders tapering to a slender torso. Degraded Brahmi legends and symbolic devices occupy the left and right fields flanking the king. A beaded border encircles the entire design. The relief is bold but worn, consistent with the hammered coinage of the Samatata region. |
