| Obverse description | The State Coat of Arms of the USSR — a hammer and sickle over a globe surrounded by wheat sheaves — appears at upper centre. The central inscription reads ОДИН РУБЛЬ ЗОЛОТОМ (One Gold Rouble) in bold Cyrillic lettering, with the title ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ КАЗНАЧЕЙСКИЙ БИЛЕТ С.С.С.Р. (State Treasury Note of the U.S.S.R.) above.
