Obverse description Crowned quartered coat of arms of Austria-Burgundy, centrally placed and supported by a rampant lion on each side serving as heraldic supporters, with the jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended from the base of the shield. The royal crown surmounting the shield is rendered in fine detail characteristic of the period's hammered coinage. The heraldic composition is enclosed within a beaded or plain border, with the surrounding legend in Gothic-influenced Latin lettering.
