| Obverse description | Central field features the papal coat of arms of Innocent XIII, displaying a crowned shield bearing a displayed eagle, set within an elaborate Baroque cartouche with foliate and scrollwork surround. Above the shield, the papal tiara flanked by the keys of Saint Peter is prominently rendered in high relief. The circular legend INNOCEN · XIII · P · M · runs around the periphery, interrupted by the decorative elements of the escutcheon. The overall composition is executed in a confident Baroque engraving style characteristic of the Hamerani workshop. A finely milled border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a large ornamental Baroque cartouche occupying the majority of the field, enclosing a four-line Latin inscription commemorating Innocent XIII's formal possession of the Lateran Basilica. A small displayed eagle with spread wings appears above the cartouche at the top of the field, acting as a crest element. The date 1721 is inscribed below the main text within the lower portion of the cartouche, separated by a scallop shell ornament. The inscription is deeply and crisply struck, reflecting the refined die-cutting of Giovanni Hamerani. A continuous milled border encircles the design. |
