| Reverse description | Three-line Latin inscription THESAVRIZATE / IN / CŒLIS occupies the central field, enclosed within two sweeping palm or laurel branches that form an oval wreath. At the apex of the wreath a winged death's-head (memento mori) is prominently displayed. Below the inscription the date 1761 flanks a small papal arms device, with the year divided on either side of the shield. The composition is characteristic of Counter-Reformation papal devotional coinage. |
