Reverse description A four-line Latin inscription reading RESTITVTVM COMMERC is displayed centrally, flanked on either side by an upright palm branch forming a wreath-like frame around the text. The composition is closed at the lower field by the heraldic coat of arms of Monsignor Casoni, the Papal Treasurer, serving as a mint official's mark. The design is restrained and emblematic, characteristic of Papal State coinage of the early eighteenth century.
