Obverse description Central field dominated by the papal coat of arms of Clement XII (Lorenzo Corsini), depicting a shield with diagonal barry pattern, surmounted by the papal tiara and two crossed keys, the emblems of the Holy See. Two supporter figures, rendered as cherubs or angels, flank the shield on either side, while decorative foliate and rope-work border elements frame the composition. The circular Latin legend reads CLEMENS·XII PONT·M·A·VI, indicating Clement XII as Pontifex Maximus in the sixth year of his pontificate. The coin exhibits the formal Baroque heraldic style characteristic of early eighteenth-century Roman ecclesiastical coinage.
