Obverse description Central field displays the elaborate papal coat of arms of Clement XI in high relief, featuring a divided shield with the Albani family charges — a six-pointed star in chief and three hills (monti) in base — set within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrolling acanthus foliage. The shield is surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, the symbols of pontifical authority. A beaded inner border frames the design, while the circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim between dotted separators.
