Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the civic arms of Brassó (Kronstadt) depicted as a stylised tree issuing from a mound, surmounted by a large crown with fleurs-de-lis finials — the traditional symbol of the city. The date appears in the upper portion of the circular legend, which runs along the outer rim of the coin between two beaded borders. The design is characteristic of hammered small silver coinage of Transylvanian civic mints of the early seventeenth century.
