| Obverse description | A royal crown in high relief occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The crown is depicted in a late medieval Gothic style, with fleurons and arches rendered in bold, somewhat crude hammered detail typical of early 16th-century Swedish coinage. The surrounding legend, separated from the inner circle by a plain band, reads in uncial Latin characters around the full circumference of the coin. The overall design is characteristic of the early issues struck under Gustav Vasa, reflecting the reforming monarch's assertion of royal authority through standardized coinage symbolism. |
