Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing right, wearing a cuirass adorned with a decorative collar and a ribbon order. The king's hair is styled in a short queue with curls above the ear, rendered in a Baroque portrait style. The peripheral legend is divided by the bust, running along the rim in Latin capitals.

Reverse description A Prussian eagle displayed standing atop a martial trophy composed of captured arms and armour, its head turned sinister. The composition is flanked by upright spears interspersed with long trumpets (trombones), while furled battle flags radiate around the central device. A royal crown surmounts the eagle from above. The date 1749 and the Breslau mint mark AHE appear within the peripheral Latin legend.
