| Obverse description | Bare-headed, right-facing bust of King Frederik VI of Denmark, rendered in high relief with finely engraved naturalistic detail to the hair and facial features. The truncation is broad and unadorned. The circular Latin legend reads FREDERICUS VI REX DANIÆ., with the engraver's initials F.A. flanking the base of the bust. The field is smooth and unadorned, and the coin is bordered by a toothed or milled rim characteristic of Danish gold coinage of the period. |
