Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Louis I, King of Etruria, facing right, with long curled hair gathered at the nape and tied with a ribbon bow, rendered in a neoclassical style. The truncation is plain. The engraver's initials S·L appear at the base of the bust in the lower field. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the inner field by a toothed border: LUDOVICUS I·D·G·HISP·INF·REX ET ETRURIAE &.
