| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing wig in the Baroque style. The portrait displays strong modeling of the facial features with the laureate wreath prominently crowning the head. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the truncation of the bust, and a small engraver's initial appears at the base of the truncation. A toothed border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | Displayed double-headed eagle surmounted by an Imperial crown with cross, each head shown in profile facing outward, with wings spread. Upon the breast of the eagle is affixed a large quartered escutcheon bearing the arms of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, including the fleur-de-lis of Lorraine, the Aragonese bars, and other dynastic quarterings. The mint name PISIS (Pisa) and the date appear in the lower field, flanking the eagle's tail feathers. The encircling Latin legend is separated by dots, and a toothed border surrounds the design. |
