Reverse description The large numeral '1' dominates the central field, positioned above the word 'FRANC' in bold capital letters, with the date of issue inscribed below in the exergue area. Two sprays of oak leaves flank the denomination on either side, their lobed foliage rendered in fine relief and curving symmetrically inward toward the central motif. The Vichy motto 'TRAVAIL · FAMILLE · PATRIE' (Work · Family · Fatherland) is inscribed along the upper legend, separated by raised dots, encircling the upper portion of the design. The composition is clean and formal, characteristic of wartime French coinage design.
