| Obverse description | Left half dominated by an intaglio vignette of a seated allegorical female figure holding a sheaf of grain, with a cartwheel at her side, rendered in dark green-black engraving. The right field, printed in red-orange, carries the bank title in bold ornate lettering across the top, with the denomination UN FRANC in a framed panel below, the payable city MATADI in large capitals, two manuscript signatures above a six-digit serial number, and the statutory counterfeit warning at foot.
