| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed in green on cream paper, the obverse is enclosed within an ornate guilloche border. To the left, a large circular vignette incorporates a caduceus and palm tree, while the crowned coat of arms of Algiers occupies the right field; the denomination appears in both French and Arabic script at centre, beneath the issuing authority and the deliberation date of 3 September 1914. Two manuscript signatures appear below the printed titles of President and Secretary-Treasurer, with series designation and exchangeability notice completing the design. |
