| Obverse description | Printed in blue-green and orange, the note carries a bold dark teal header panel bearing the issuer name and two orange lozenge-shaped numerals '1' at each upper corner. A central allegorical vignette rendered in intaglio-style engraving shows Mercury, identifiable by his winged helmet and caduceus, paired with a male worker figure, set against a light green guilloche underprint with the word 'LIÈGE' faintly visible. The denomination inscription 'BON DE CAISSE DE UN FRANC' appears in large orange letterpress text below the header, with the date '31 Octobre 1915', three manuscript signatures of the Collège échevinal, and the printer's imprint 'L.
