| Obverse description | Printed in black and blue on a plain paper ground, the note is enclosed within an ornate blue Art Nouveau border of interlaced foliage and scrollwork. The denomination panel at centre reads 'UN FRANC' in bold letterpress within a dark rectangular cartouche flanked by decorative vignettes, with large numeral '1' at left and right. The issuing authority, series, and authorising text appear above and below, with two manuscript signatures of the Secrétaire and Bourgmestre across the lower portion, and the printer's imprint at the foot. |
