| Reverse description | Plain orange guilloche border surrounds a large central octagonal cartouche with floral cornerpieces, printed in orange on pale paper. The cartouche contains a lengthy redemption clause in italic script, stating that the bons issued by the Chambre de Commerce du Tréport are exchangeable on presentation in multiples of ten for Banque de France notes, and that their reimbursement is guaranteed by a deposit of equal value held at the Banque de France in the name of the Chambre de Commerce du Tréport. A faint watermark underprint of the obverse text is visible in mirror image through the paper. |
