| Obverse description | Light blue and green guilloche underprint on a cream paper ground, with an ornate border of interlocking circular guilloche medallions. The municipal arms of Le Puy-en-Velay appear in a vignette at the top centre above a ribbon cartouche bearing the issuer's title. Two circular blue medallions at left and right carry subsidiary inscriptions, with the bold letterpress denomination BON POUR UN FRANC centred in the lower half, flanked by the manuscript signatures of the President and Treasurer above the series and serial number panel. |
