| Obverse description | Blue letterpress on cream paper with an orange guilloche underprint repeating the text CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE MELUN across the central field. The issuer's name is printed in bold capitals at the top, with the denomination UN FRANC in large letters at centre. Monogram cartouches with foliate scrollwork ornament the upper corners, flanked by decorative pilasters with leaf motifs at the sides. Signature lines for Le Trésorier and Le Président appear below the denomination, with the date 15 OCTOBRE 1915 in a cartouche at the foot. |

| Reverse description | Blue letterpress on cream paper over an orange guilloche underprint repeating the issuer's name. The central design comprises two circular vignettes side by side: the left bears the official seal of the Chambre de Commerce de Melun, dated 1900, with the town arms of three towers above a caduceus and laurel branches; the right vignette carries an olive-branch wreath enclosing the names MELUN, PROVINS, FONTAINEBLEAU and the validity dates 1915–1920. The denomination 1f. appears in decorative tablets at each upper corner, and the validity dates 1915·1920 are displayed on a ribbon at the top centre. A redemption notice at the foot instructs that the note must be presented for reimbursement at the Banque de France de Melun before 15 October 1920, with the printer's imprint at the lower right. |
