| Obverse description | Blue and pink note with a dense guilloche border framing the entire face. At the top centre, the municipal coat of arms of Cognac — bearing the motto CIVIUM MEA FIDES FORTITUDO and flanked by grapevine branches — serves as the central vignette. The denomination UN FRANC is printed in large bold script across the middle of the field, above a pink letterpress underprint repeating CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE COGNAC. Two circular cancellation-style ornaments appear at left and right centre, and the Chambre de Commerce official red circular stamp is applied at lower centre between the manuscript signatures of the Treasurer and the President. |
