| Reverse description | The reverse is printed on a warm yellow underprint and centres on an oval vignette of the Cette waterfront, showing the town's principal buildings and church tower reflected in the harbour, with a small sailboat in the foreground. The oval is surrounded by an elaborate Art Nouveau cartouche of intertwined grapevines and vine leaves, evoking the viticultural character of the Hérault region, with the denomination 1 Fr. at upper left and a caduceus-entwined monogram at the foot. Below the vignette appear the signature lines for Le Président and Le Trésorier, and the redemption notice DATE DE REMBOURSEMENT 31 DÉCEMBRE 1924 is inscribed along the lower margin within the floral border. |
