| Obverse description | The obverse is enclosed within a decorative green guilloche border with ornamental corner medallions bearing the denomination numeral. The central field carries a tan underprint of repeating text reading CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BELFORT, over which appears a central vignette of a recumbent lion with the large denomination legend UN FRANC in dark blue letterpress. To the left, a circular red underprint seal bears the Sower figure with the legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, while to the right a matching circular seal inscribed LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ with a floral motif and the date 1915 appears in red. The series and serial number are printed in the lower margin above the printer's imprint. |
