| Reverse description | The denomination 1 FRANC is displayed in large, bold numerals and lettering at the centre of the field, with the date 1941 inscribed below in the lower exergue, flanked by two small decorative cornucopia-like ornaments. Flanking the central denomination on both sides are symmetrical clusters of fruit and foliage — bunches of grapes, apples, and leafy sprigs — arranged as decorative cartouches, symbolising abundance. The motto LIBERTE-EGALITE arcs along the upper rim, with FRATERNITE inscribed in a second arc immediately below, together forming the national republican triad. The overall composition is clean and geometric, with the legends and devices well-spaced against a flat, unadorned field. |
