| Obverse description | Central field displays a crowned Gothic monogram, likely the interlaced initials of Abbot Bonifacio Ferrero, set within a plain inner circle. The monogram is surmounted by a stylized abbatial or episcopal crown rendered in bold relief. A partial Latin legend runs along the outer periphery, partially obscured by the irregular flan. The overall style is characteristic of small hammered billon issues produced for Italian ecclesiastical lordships in the early sixteenth century. |
