Reverse description The quartered shield of the Fiji coat of arms occupies the centre of the field, divided into four quarters depicting a lion passant guardant in the chief, sugar canes, a coconut palm, a dove, and a bunch of bananas. The four-digit date is split on either side of the shield (e.g. '19' to the left and '41' to the right). The legend 'FIJI' arcs across the upper field and 'FLORIN' across the lower field, all within a toothed border. The design was executed by George Kruger Gray.
