The king is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state, with his beard and facial features rendered with fine detail. The circular Latin legend reads GEORGIVS V D:G: BRITT: OMN: REX F.D.IND:IMP:, distributed around the periphery and separated by stops.
