Reverse description The Commonwealth of Australia Arms displayed centrally, comprising a quartered shield bearing the emblems of the six states, surmounted by a St Edward's Crown. The shield is supported on the dexter by a kangaroo and on the sinister by an emu, both standing on a decorative ground with native wattle sprays at either side. The denomination FLORIN appears in an arc above the arms flanked by two six-pointed stars, while the date and country name AUSTRALIA are inscribed in two lines below the shield. The engraver's initials KG appear to the right of the shield.
