Obverse description Conjoined cuirassed busts of King William III and Queen Mary II in high relief, facing right, with large portrait style characteristic of the early joint reign coinage. The king is armoured and the queen is draped, their effigies overlapping in the manner of joint-monarch issues. The peripheral legend GVLIELMVS ET MARIA encircles the busts within the coin's rim.
