The king is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state. The circular legend GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA arcs around the upper field, with the date flanked by raised dots positioned at the base below the portrait. The shield is enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The legend JAMAICA arcs around the upper field and FARTHING around the lower field, with the motto INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI rendered on a scroll at the base of the shield. Small floral ornaments separate the legends from the shield supporters on either side. |
