Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of King Edward VII, depicted with a draped and robed bust wearing the Imperial State Crown, engraved by G.W. de Saulles whose initials appear below the truncation. The effigy is set within a raised beaded inner circle, with the circumferential legend EDWARD VII KING AND EMPEROR arcing above and the date below in the lower field. The overall composition is restrained and dignified, consistent with the De Saulles portrait used across British colonial coinage of the period.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description The heraldic shield of the Jamaican coat of arms occupies the central field, rendered with vertical shading throughout, and charged with a cross bearing five pineapples. A crocodile passant serves as the crest above the shield, and two native figures flank the escutcheon as supporters, each holding a shield. A scroll at the base bears the motto INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI. The entire armorial device is enclosed within a raised beaded inner circle, with JAMAICA arcing above and FARTHING below along the outer legend.
