| Reverse description | A plain voided long cross extending to the coin's edge divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in triangular formation, a design introduced to deter clipping. The workmanship is consistent with the hammered silver farthings struck under Edward I's monetary reforms. |
