| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Queen Anne, her hair elaborately dressed and pinned with a decorative clasp, with flowing curls cascading to the shoulder and a prominent drop earring visible. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail characteristic of John Croker's engraving style. The peripheral Latin legend ANNA DEI GRATIA arcs around the field, reading from lower left to upper right. A raised inner rim frames the design, and the coin's proof surface imparts exceptional cameo contrast between the portrait and the mirrored field. |

| Reverse description | Seated figure of Britannia facing left, positioned on a plinth bearing the date 1714 in the exergue. Britannia holds an olive branch in her left hand and a long sceptre or trident in her raised right hand, with a Union shield resting against her right side. The allegorical figure is draped in classical robes and rendered with considerable sculptural relief. The legend BRITANNIA is distributed around the periphery in large Roman capitals, divided on either side of the central device. |
