The denomination 'ONE FANAM' in Latin script and 'ഒന്നു പണം' in Malayalam script surrounds the monogram, with the Malabar Era regnal year '1087' appearing below the monogram. The entire design is encompassed within an outer beaded border, typical of Travancore princely coinage of the early twentieth century.
