| Reverse description | Square flan bearing a bold Arabic legend in flowing Naskh script, densely filling the field in two diagonal lines reading 'al-sultan bin al-sultan.' The script is deeply hammered and displays the characteristic cursive loops and flourishes of contemporary Islamic epigraphy as adopted in Rajput coinage. The adoption of Arabic titulature on the reverse reflects the cultural and political milieu of the early sixteenth century, when Rajput rulers incorporated Islamic honorifics. The surface exhibits a dark copper patina with areas of green encrustation. |
