Reverse description
Stephen Album`s Checklist of Islamic Coins designates this coin as Common (`C`). Album also notes that some examples of this coin `…are struck on flans formed by folding a thin sheet of copper two or more times. The copper sheets are said to have been cut from old cooking pots, but I regard that as a spurious explanation` Valentine also has an illustrated example of this coin (Pg. 171 #4) in the Afghanistan section of book. There is a discussion on how the calligraphy of the numbers is slightly different on this coin here.
