| Reverse description | Irregularly shaped hammered copper flan bearing a two-line Arabic inscription in the central field. The upper line reads 'ضرب کابل' (Struck at Kabul) and the lower line records the AH mint date '١٢١٢' (1212 AH). The calligraphy is bold and somewhat roughly executed, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Kabul mint under the Durrani Empire. The flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges, surface porosity, and areas of green copper corrosion. |

| Additional information |
Struck in the final years of Zaman Shah Durrani's reign, this issue predates his capture and blinding by his half-brother Mahmud in 1801 — the dynastic violence that began the Durrani Empire's long unraveling. Kabul mint copper was notoriously inconsistent in flan preparation during this period, and pieces from these years routinely show uneven planchet surfaces that reflect the mint's irregular supply of raw metal rather than any carelessness in die work.
