| Reverse description | The reverse bears a four-line Persian inscription in the field, recording the mint name and date of issue. The legends are arranged within the rectangular flan in a format typical of late Safavid provincial fulus coinage. Notably, the numeral six in the AH date 1116 is rendered in Arabic script rather than the standard Persian numeral form, an unusual feature for this series. The inscription reads 'Fulus Struck in Tabriz 1116,' corresponding to 1704 CE. The die workmanship is characteristic of provincial hammered copper issues, with uneven strike and rough flan surfaces. |
