Obverse description Central field bearing Arabic inscriptions in typical Timurid calligraphic style, with multiple lines of legend occupying the majority of the flan. The script is boldly struck in raised relief against a granular, uneven field characteristic of hammered copper coinage. The lettering is partially worn and struck off-center, as is common for anonymous Bukharan fulus of this period. The irregular flan exhibits the characteristic rough edges of a hand-cut copper planchet.
