| Obverse description | Irregular hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, cursive Naskh script occupying the central field. The inscription reads the ruler's name 'Ali Adil Shah' arranged across two or three lines, with characteristic flourishes of Deccani calligraphic style. The surface displays extensive green patination consistent with aged copper, with the raised lettering remaining legible against the flat field. No figurative motifs or border ornaments are present, consistent with Islamic numismatic convention. The flan is notably thick and shows the irregular outline typical of hand-struck Bijapur coinage. |
