| Reverse description | The reverse field bears a cursive Persian-script inscription in raised relief, similarly executed in a loose nasta'liq style that fills the entire flan without a formal border. The letterforms overlap and intertwine across the convex surface, reflecting the rudimentary die-cutting practices of the Badakhshan local mint during this period. The irregular flan edge and variable thickness are consistent with hand-hammered production. Slight encrustation and patination partially obscure portions of the legend, though the raised strokes of the inscription remain discernible throughout the field. |
