Obverse description Central field occupied by the three-line Arabic inscription naming the Ottoman sultan, rendered in a bold, fluid calligraphic hand characteristic of late 18th-century Tunisian hammered copper coinage. The legends fill the flan without a border, reflecting the informal striking technique typical of the series. The rough, irregular fabric of the coin is consistent with hand-struck production at the Tunis mint. No decorative border or inner circle is present, with the inscription dominating the entire field.
