| Obverse description | Irregular hammered bronze flan bearing a multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in three horizontal registers across the central field. The legend reads 'Ikhrid, Dahqan of Kesh', identifying the issuing local governor. The script is rendered in an early provincial Kufic style characteristic of Sogdian-influenced coinage of the mid-eighth century. The surfaces display a green patina with areas of cuprite, consistent with extended burial. No border or decorative elements are present beyond the inscription itself. |
