| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large Arabic legend in bold relief, enclosed within a circular cartouche or wreath-like frame. Surrounding the central device are additional Arabic inscriptions in the field, rendered in the characteristic Nasta'liq or Shikasta calligraphic style typical of Qajar-era provincial copper coinage. The entire design is bordered by a prominent raised bead or pellet border running along the periphery of the flan. The strike is characteristic of hammered provincial production, resulting in uneven relief and a somewhat irregular flan. The surfaces show typical wear and porous texture consistent with a copper fals of this period. |
