| Obverse description | Stylized lion passant facing right with a radiant sun rising behind its back, rendered in a crude but characteristic Persian provincial manner. The design occupies the entire field of the irregularly shaped flan, with the lion's body shown in profile and the solar disc partially visible above the haunches. The devices are deeply struck but show considerable surface roughness consistent with hammered copper coinage of the period. No legible legend surrounds the central motif. The overall execution reflects the anonymous municipal coinage tradition of the Bandar port region in the late 18th century. |
